I wondered that, but would it only work (in that he was seemingly paid SSP for a month minus three days) if he was off sick at the very beginning of the month? But surely payroll would have been asking for a fit note after a week?
Logically, I'd agree with you, but I'm suspected a general !!!! up has happened.0 -
Someone has messed up the time sheet as your paid hours are wrong(from what you have said).0

Oh dear - NHS HR/payroll c*&k-up is pretty standard.
You need to be on this every day otherwise it will get 'forgotten' and you will never get your money back.
Keep notes, emails, records of phone convos!
My hubby has worked for the NHS for 27 years - he was overpaid in error (as payroll services had not adjusted his hours despite being notified) over 12 months ago - payroll insisted they would take the money back in one go from following months wages (which was unreasonable), however it still has not been adjusted after all this time.
Therefore do not leave it and assume that someone in payroll services / HR will sort it as they are totally incompetent.
Might be worth a quick chat with your union too.
GOOD LUCK.DMP launched 04/07/17 left to pay = £14,238.79 (£16,982.82 original debt.) Thanks to MSE & all you wonderful Forum Peeps!:T0
