Have recently applied for a mortgage with Halifax, submitted evidence requested and waiting for a decision.
Moved out of my old property a few weeks ago now and living with my boyfriend until my new house is ready to move in to (provided all goes to plan).
Just wondering if the change of address will have any impact on chances? Old mortgage was also with Halifax so they aware I moved out etc.
Should I register on electoral role at boyfriends while I wait? Seems a bit pointless as I’ll be moving out again soon, but don’t want it to harm chances.

Hi,
The change of address shouldn't have an impact, I would inform them though, especially if you are moving things like your current account or any credit commitments to the new address. You will be surprised that even though you have moved out of you previous address which had a Halifax mortgage on it they probably won't link that to the new mortgage application. I'm sure you wouldn't but best not to take out any new credit at the new address just in case.
Depends on how long you plan to be there as to whether to register on the electoral roll or not, it can take a few months to get added anyway.I am a mortgage industry professional.
