    Make life easier...if you really want to live up to your name, have baked potatoes and baked beans;
    grilled tomatoes, onions and mash go well,

    I like swedes mashed with carrots and finely chopped onion, with hm wedges

  • We usually have it cold with jacket potatoes, salad, coleslaw and pickles. Hot it's nice with a tomato sauce and, as Marie suggested, wedges etc

    I like it with mashed potatoes and any sort of steamed vegetables.
  • I have frequently served meatloaf as an alternative to the roast for Sunday dinner, i.e yorkshire puds, potatoes, veg, gravy etc.

    I do that as well :D

    I make a big meatloaf with enough for two meals. For the second meal I slice the meatloaf and lay it over the base of a small lasagne dish (a pyrex casserole will do) and put it in the oven to warm while I make a packet of pasta&sauce according to the instructions. Pour pasta over meatloaf, sprinkle cheese over and put in the oven for about ten minutes to heat through and melt the cheese.

    I've looked in The Pauper's Cookbook which suggests serving meatloaf
    • hot with homemade tomato sauce poured over and rice
    • cold with jacket potatoes, salad and pickles
    • stuffed in cabbage leaves
    • mixed with a little pasta sauce, stirred into pasta and baked in the oven with cheese sprinkled on top
    PS it might be cheaper to cook your own meatloaf instead of buying it ready made, do you need a recipe?
