Hi, just thinking thoughts and pondering on this!
We have a 25 year mortgage which is up in 2009 :j . We have 2 endowment policies to go with the mortgage, 1 is due up in November 2009 and the other is due up in March 2009. Both are on track to pay out, with a few thousand (probably about 2 maximum), to spare.
I currently pay £16 per month on one endowment and £20.50 per month on the other. My mortgage is with the Halifax and is currently £280 per month. Since last month, I have been paying £300. I could probably throw another £100 per month at the mortgage if I tightened our belts a bit.
Any suggestions? Have I left it too late, or is it worth doing something now??
Any and all advice welcome.
Thanks,
Carol

is your mortgage repayment?
I would try and calculate how much you would save (off you rmortgage) by paying extra against how much interest you could make if you paid the same amount into a savings accountsmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....
