hi my sister and I are taking my Brother who has downs syndrome to Blackpool next friday (good friday) to Easter monday. we are going all inclusive. we usually potter round the shops and enjoy the entertainment in the evening in the hotel. we are aware that the shops will probably be closed sunday. we will probably use the hotel pool in the morning but looking for ideas in the afternoon? any recommendations? thanks

There are 3 piers which dont cost anything to visit. Sealife Centre which is on the Prom, The Zoo is excellent but is a 15 min bus ride from the centre. The Tower is good, the Circus especially. Some hotels sell vouchers for discounted entry to the Tower, Sealife Centre, The Dungeons, Madam Tussauds.
Which hotel are you staying in? We visit Blackpool twice a year and love it there.

Not all the shops will be closed - some will be open for shorter hours until 3 or 4.
Afternoon tea in the ballroom is magical - £25 per head but you can stay as long as you like and they do refills - you can watch the dancing and listen to the organ or you can join in and have a spin around the floor.
I second the vote for the tower - it's a good 45 mins/hour and (IMO) great value for money.
I don't know how old your brother is but Jungle Jim's always goes down well with youngsters and there's a decent seating area for the adults.
I preferred the circus to the dungeon and didn't personally like the aquariums (but that's just me).
Hope you have a great timeThat sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

The pleasure beach is the top thing that comes to mind.
How old is your brother? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Hi
Thanks, he's 51 years old! His mobilitly isnt fantastic, he can walk a good distance but stops a lot! He loves Blackpool. Me and my Sister like the shops and break it up with a costa but thought everything would be closed. Some good ideas on here. I will also have my car but dont like to move it off the hotel carpark. We are staying at the Claremont., We have stayed on numerous occasions, usually just 2 nights, but once did a 5 mid week, this is a 3 night. It suits our needs0
