Cordless vs Corded Vacuum Cleaners

I've had a GTECH for the past two years and love the convenience of it, I also have the separate hand held cleaner. I keep thinking I couldn't deal with plugs and cords again but lately I've been thinking that my GTECH doesn't pick up as much as my old corded cleaner used to do. I also have to empty the pan all the time as it soon fills up.
However, it is so handy, I can just whizz round when I see any crumbs, cat hairs or fluff and its much easier than getting a corded vac out just for a few bits but I sometimes wonder if I would be better off with a corded vac for a one a week clean and something lighter inbetween. The hand held cordless GTECH is invaluable for getting stray cats hairs off the bed, cushions and curtains when it doesn't warrant getting a big vac and all the tools out do it.
Any thoughts on this? I don't want to waste my money on getting another vac necessarily.

The cordless has a smaller container for the dust which is why it needs emptying more often. It’s easy to do.
My GTECH picks up so much more than my corded vacuum ever did, at first it lifted up left over stuff from the carpets which made for more frequent emptying. Now it’s settled down I won’t go back to corded.
I agree, no point having three vacuums.0 -
Have you the space to store yet another vacuum? I wouldn't bother getting another til one of them wears out personally.
That said, I wouldn't go with cordless again; you can only recharge them so many times, then the battery needs to be replaced, and what happened to me was that when I contacted the company to ask how to get a new battery, they informed me the model was obsolete, and they couldn't supply a battery.
So I replaced it with a corded vacuum. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
