Erudio student loans- loan matured help please!
Hi there! I’m hoping you guys can give me some advice about how to handle Erudio please? My partner had a call from them today saying that his student loan has matured and he owes them full payment of £547 or else the debt will go to a collection agency... we have not received anything in writing from them at all.
My partner has always deferred his loans, but erudio have told him that his loan has not been deferred this year so the loan has matured. However, he was not sent a reminder about his deferment period ending, or a deferment pack. When we questioned this on the phone, they said it was his responsibility to remember the date to defer not theirs. They are now not offering deferment as an option. Is this right?? His other loans with the student loans company have deferment reminders sent each year...
Any advice on how to proceed would be gratefully received!
Thanks so much x

Hi
There's a long-running Erudio/student loan thread on the credit file sub forum I would suggest you re-post there to get replies. However I thought if someone had more than one mortgage-style loan account that all deferrals should be dealt with via SLC even if the loans have been sold to different companies.0
