Restriced advice for pension transfer?
Comments

If the fund value of your DC scheme is less than £30,000 then even with the guaranteed annuity rate you may not need to obtain financial advice. From 6/4/2018 it is only for pension funds valued at over £30,000 that this will be required.0

Just as an update my transfer finally completed a couple of days ago. The entire process from the day I decided to go for a transfer has taken me six months but much of that was spent faffing around trying to find a suitable advisor. In the end I went for one of the 'pension release' firms and paid through the nose just to get on with it, it cost me more but simplified things a lot. I did research them before taking the plunge and they are fully approved to advise on my kind of transfer and don't appear to have any adverse reports that I could find.0
