LUSH Products

So, I am currently building a whole new skincare regime (body and face) as I have noticed a slow but steady decline in my skin's appearance lately!
A few of my friends have begun to use a lot more of LUSH's products as they are reasonably priced and they like what the company stands for (their ethical policies/no animal testing, etc). I have used a few LUSH products in the past, such as their bath bombs, a face mask, a cleanser and a lip scrub. There was nothing I didn't like, although I definitely used a cleanser which wasn't aimed at my skin type.
I have only really heard good things about LUSH, but I think some products can be hit or miss. Therefore, I was wondering, are there any LUSH products you highly rate and would recommend giving a go? Or are there any products you would recommend steering clear from?
Thank you!

I think it really depends on your skin type and lifestyle. Some things won't suit you simply because they aren't designed for you and others might not work well with how you want to use them. For example, I love the idea of bars of soap but they don't work well with our plumbing so I stick to shower gels.
My favourite product of theirs is the translucent face powder (I think it's called Emotional Brilliance) - it feels a lot softer to brush on than others I've tried and it doesn't dry out my skin.
The body dusting powders are really nice. I use silky underwear! The kids like the shimmery ones they do occasionally - good for drying between toes and helping with sweaty feet. The kids use their bubble bars all the time - so many bubbles from a small piece!
I've never found a shampoo of theirs I could use long-term but I have strange scalp issues so not really their fault.
Try Green People if you don't find Lush products that suit you perfectly - they seem to cater well to different skin types and have similar policies, in fact they seem to go a bit further down the 'good' route.
You'll probably get people telling you that Lush are actually terrible, "just look at all the TOXIC ingredients they sneak in" etc. If you use science rather than trusting 'wellness' experts, I personally think they're fine0 -

That being said Lush is a bit out of my price range. I could afford it if I choose to I spose but it always seems too much of an indulgence. Mind you I've also never been to a hairdresser either as I consider that an indugence too, so I think we all have different priorities.0 -
I really like their big shampoo and their rub a dub dub body scrub - they are both salty & citrus scented.0

I love their Ultrabland face cleanser (tons of positive reviews on makeupalley). I have acne-prone skin and it's so gentle and non-irritating. You must use a flannel to remove it however!0

The only product I've used regularly has been the Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo which has worked miracles on my scalp psoriasis.
I also like the unisex perfumes, but some of the fragrances can be a bit strange!
I find the bath bombs a waste of money, but do enjoy the large bubble bars as I only need a little to make a lot of bubbles.0 -
Thank you rach_k, I think that is the problem I had with the cleanser I used, it just wasn't right for my skin type! I'll take a look at Green People, thanks for the suggestion0

Thank you WeAreGhosts , I didn't really see the point of the bath bombs to be honest but I do love bubbles in my bath so I will give the bubble bars a go! Thank you!0

I have oily/sensitive/spot prone skin and I love Angels On Bare Skin cleanser. Its kinda odd to use but it doesn't dry out my skin compared to other oily skin cleansers.
Solid shampoo bars are great for travelling but they tend to dry out my hair somewhat (although I do wash it everyday), Godiva is the most gentle I think.
King of Skin is a nice solid, in-shower skin moisturiser and as long as it is kept somewhere not too warm seems to last a long time (otherwise it melts).
I have heard lots about Dream Cream but it was a bit heavy for me. If you go to a Lush shop they will probably give you some testers if you ask nicely (especially if you buy something)."I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants." A. Whitney Brown0 -
I love Lush's hair products! Especially the treatments Marilyn and hsuan-wen-hua.
I love fresh face masks too, Love Lettuce being my favorite.0 -
Thank you LunaaLouuby I just tried one of their shampoos, so I think I'll take a look at more hair products!0
