Natwest - Online Mortgage application

Hi all,
Me and my partner are trying to buy our first home currently!
We have had an offer accepted and have a 25% deposit available.
We decided to make an application online with Natwest and was hoping someone has had experience of using the service before?
We have received our mortgage illustration, and have paid for the valuation. Dose this mean we have passed the initial checks / credit checks required by the lender?
They included this in the welcome letter “A satisfactory full credit assessment has been undertaken” surely this means we passed, right?
Any advice / help would be appreciated!
Thanks

We got a mortgage reference number form our broker and it let you know what was going on, Natwest were very quick and we had the offer within 10 days and the only hold up was the surveyor for a new build.0

Hi, did you do the phone advisor application, or did you make an online application?
The paid valuation and the 'Satisfactory full credit assessment has been undertaken' do not necessarily mean an underwriter has looked over your application.
They will text you to say whether your mortgage application has been agreed subject to valuation - that's when you know an underwriter has gone through the paperwork!
Natwest seem to do all manual underwriting.0 -
We did our application in branch but Natwest were very fast we had a mortgage approved subject to valuation confirmation within a few days.
Unfortunately we had to wait for the valuation for another week. All went through fine. All you can do is keep checking. It's so stressful though I never anticipated how hard that wait would be! Mind you it prepares you for the next stage of stress (basically until you get the keys!)0
