Hi all
I am nervously waiting for a decision on a mortgage application. I'm keen to get your thoughts if we're likely to be accepted.
An application went in a couple of weeks ago with Skipton. Were hoping to buy a house for £190k we have a 10% deposit saved. My partner has a default from 2013 that has been satisfied recently. We've used an independent mortgage advisor who got us a agreement in principle from Skipton. They've recently requested up to date pay slips and bank statements.
I earn 42k (20k commission) and my partner earns 19k.
Any thoughts appreciated
Thanks

I wouldn't be too concerned. Assuming you don't have any debts affordability should be ok. As the default is over 3 year's old and is now satisfied this shouldn't cause an issue. The fact you've passed credit scoring already is encouraging as I would have thought this would have been your biggest hurdle at 90% LTV.I am a Mortgage Adviser
