Mortgage app - bank statements

Sorry another question. Out of the 3 months statements the 1st month I didn’t make any payment off my credit cards. This was due to me paying the payment early the prev month (as soon as the statement generated) and then that months payment wasn’t then due until after I got paid again. So left it until the following month as such. So no payment missed just probably looks like it from my bank statement. This won’t be a problem will it ? As when I claim my credit commitments it’ll show I didn’t pay anything that month??0

Sorry 1 more question too. The last few months I’ve been stretching myself to pay more off my credit balances. So when it asks for commitments on application I’m going to say the amount that covers my minimum payments each month. But from bank statements it’ll show I actually pay a lot more- but that’s because I have been trying to get my credit balances down before my mortgage app. Am I right to put the minimum payments down as my “commitment” and will they question why I’ve been paying more than this?? And would be answer above be sufficient enough0

When we gave details of credit cards, we provided balance, APR and minimum payment. I also had a balance on my CC but had paid off much more than minimum on the 3 month bank statements.0 -

Based on what is visible on those statements, we might recommend a lender which doesn't ask for bank statements, or asks for only one month's.

Thanks - I've booked an appointment with a local mortgage broker.
Told them basically a shed load of paypal transactions over the 2/3 month period - some with 3/4 in a block each weekend on the statements. Some for gambling some not - but you cant tell from the statements - it just says 'Paypal'. (my worry is they will question it and want to see some evidence of the transactions)
The girl on the phone seemed to think it shouldn't matter and not too worry too much - she said if they (the mortgage advisor/broker) think its a problem once they see the statements they will recommend a less 'fussier' lender who don't fully comb through the statements.
She said me and my partner have good income so with our situation as a whole. i.e. loads/credit cards etc, she said doesnt seem out of the ordinary really.
Does £299 on completion of the remortgage seem a 'normal' price for their services? To be honest i'm happy to pay this if i can get the remortgage all sorted fairly quickly and wihtout any issues.0 -
Ok so I spoke to local broker and sent my statements to them. They advised my statements will be a problem and they wouldn’t be interested in taking me as a customer. They recommended I go direct to either Halifax or Santander who in general only Ask for 1 month stAtement. (Sometimes none) (1 months stAtement will be nice and clean)
Anyone got any recent experience with either or these 2? How many they ask for?0
