Loan Details lost by the bank.
Options
Recently moved house and lost my original load agreement details. Phoned my bank to send out another copy so I had the agreement number but was told they didnt have any details either.
Yet this bank is still withdrawing the money for the loan from my account.
Is there anything unusual about this. Might be a longshot but can I get out of the loan if the bank have no details about it?
Any advice or useful links would be appreciated. Thank you.

Cancel the DD I am sure they will let you know. Before you do ring them again and ask the same question about the agreement, take the name of the person and write down the time and date, so if and when they ring you, you can tell them who it was that told you that they have no details on you.0

It could be that the bank has fished out their loan operations to a third party.
It is a stupid suggestion to cancel D/D - it may wreck your credit score.
Most banks that I know of do not keep CCA paperwork in branch but in a central place.
It could be that OP was asking the wrong people.0 -
At our place we only file the loan agreements for a few months at branch and then send them off to a Secure Storage centre after that and keep them for the length of time to satisfy the FSA's requirements. The problem after that however is tracking down the box it is stored in at the centre, which has proved troublesom in the past. However, even though the bank says it cannot find your loan agreement, all the details are held electronically so no, you can't just cancel the D/D for the loan.
Hope that helps0
