            Hi,
May be worth going to the CAB if you can't find the appropriate help on the DTI site to cover you.
Is the new employer aware that you were no paid? If the new employer bought the business in full, they inherited any outstanding debts and obligations unless stated otherwise in the handover where the new owner may have requested the old one to pay certain things first?
There will be tax & NI owing as well so one of the 2 owners has a problem there. However, despite a business buy out, the new owner is going to be liable for that if the business didn't go through liquidation.
Did it go into receivership? If so, it's a whole different game...and you became a creditor.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0

no, the business did not go through liquidation. It does get quite complex.....
The 'orginal owner' who started the business decided to sell.
The 'new owners' came didnt pay any bills etc. stayed for three months, then went!
The original owners who also did not get paid have come back. So the old owners are now the new owners!!
 any advice??

Il bet the "new owners" ran off into the distance! I think CAB are the boys to see.0

            Wow, that is complex!
I think legal advice would be the best way to go. So, CAB seem the first ones to try as it's free.
Usually when being a business you take on the debts of the business unless it stipulated not to for some reason so someone must owe you. I reckon that your dispute is with the original owners since they are now the new owners again (confusing!!!) but they won't pay unless it's proved that those they sold it to before haven't paid you.
If they haven't paid you, I wonder if they have paid your tax & NI? If not, they are liable for that as well, which may wake them up.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0
