Management Company Notice Fee

Options
Hi,

We are in the process of purchasing a 2 bedroom flat and the solicitor has sent me the charges. To my surprise there is a management company notice fee of £834, I have queried this with the solicitor but as always they can't give me the full details until they query it with the company. Can anybody shed any light on what this is for? We are just about to complete and this appears out of nowhere. I can't believe that a company would charge that much for a simple change.

It's the charge for the assignment of the lease.

If you can't believe it, you're not yet used to management companies. They're rarely what most would deem reasonable.
