  • Do you do surveys etc? I want my hair cut and coloured in a nice (expensive) hairdressers so I've decided all the money I get from surveys will pay for that. You could do the same with your jacket/bag.

Also regarding foundation.. I use my boots card. I save up on points when I buy my razors/shampoos etc, and when I have enough I can buy my expensive foundation, or at least have a bit of money to go towards it!

ooo have always been put off surverys as seems a lot of work for not much dent in my debt but suddenly seems totally worth it if its to buy stuff for me haha will give it ago!

I normally go to boots as the points are great but it was £33.50 so went with allbeauty and should be delivered today yay.

Been a little spendy since I got paid....... the stuff to redo my chairs came to about £40 not the £30 had budgeted but will steal a bit from the food budget for that.

Food spends have been up as OH decided to go spent £25 and I can't really tell what this was on....... £8 to ringtons (he loves the coffee and got amazing cookies too) £18 on Fish and chips for me him and my mum.... this was treat as he was going into surgery or his knee the next day which we got to the hospital at 6.30am for ... met surgeon got prepped for and then told at 9.30 it was cancelled... hoping I can get the day off work again as its rescheduled for two weeks time.

Will keep a tight lid on spends till Friday just got the gym class tonight which is £5 to tag on to my mums personal training session so well worth it (and budgeted for) Did a 5k with my chunky dog this morning and will see how she likes park run tomorrow!

I went to a coaching badminton session last week its on once a month and is total free with This girl can. was great and a group goes every week and splits the cost of the court so would be a really nice cheap social thing to do

Turns out my dog and park run do not mix... way too much excitement for her and had to leave after one lap...... this is a bit annoying as love park run but don't want to use up a run I could run with her if that makes sense.

Spends haven't been too crazy, we went to pizza express on Saturday using some vouchers, came to £15 for drinks. We then nipped into Wilko's for some bits we needed and I think spent about £12.

I spend Saturday night painting my dining room table and chairs.... we did it a few years ago with a chalk paint which is mega grubby because of the dogs and so painted over with a gloss. OH is sanding and varnishing the top today and hopefully my sponge will arrive so I can redo the seats.

Sunday I went to my friends for a coffee which was lovely and free......... I then took the lil dog for a walk as the big one was exhausted from her runs, bumped into another friend in the park and had nice catch up. Decided to use up left overs for dinner and so made a chicken tagine which was delicious and my first attempt at flat breads weren't too bad either.

Need to head and get an eyeliner on my lunch break and then petrol tonight, will need to food shop soon but hoping can do that tomorrow or Wednesday.......

Failed on getting eyeliner but got petrol and OH did a bit of a food shop as I was in foul mood! Who knows what he ended up getting?!

No run last night as felt grumpy an exhausted actually had a nap instead... annoying as was a beautiful day and today is just grey and rainy... but will still try tonight.

Finally sorted car insurance... looked on compare the market a few weeks ago and then never got further... it runs out on the 31st and the cheapest quote was from our provider, cheaper than renewal. I normally find cheapest and then go through cash back sites but I left it to late and it was all showing for way more money... rang our provider and luckily they agreed to match that quote I just don't get the cashback. This year I am paying monthly, which I know is more expensive but I reckon we are still paying the last two years which got thrown on a cc (to save money by paying in one go) This year I am saving for next year with car insurance, home and pet insurance. It will free up quite a bit next year when effectively not paying twice all year anymore.

Finally remembered to bring my yoga stuff to work so I can go at lunchtime (my work pays me back for yoga) I have 4 passes and they run out really soon so I need to go today and Thursday, maybe at the weekend and then next Tuesday to use them up in time!

Had a surprise conversation with OH last night thanking me for all the effort I go to sorting the cheapest this and that with insurances etc. He actually admitted that he wasn't sure he could even manage owning a house alone as wouldn't know where to start.... I did offer to show him.... he was happy just to thank me haha
