    hi all

sorry I have been dealing with hubby stuff ... we seem to be getting over the worst of it now, he still has a load of tests and few ops to go through but we're on a more even keel

so it's time to start back

where should I begin ... I think right back to the beginning will be the best place as I had too much on for the last few months

now we dont get paid till the 15th so I will start again on that date, but I think between now and then will be plan time ...

With this in mind I have recognised I eat way way way too much red meat, so I think I am going to introduce one or two days of vegetarian a week, I would really like to get red meat down to 1 day a week, but am unsure how I will achieve this at present, good job I am night shift starting tomorrow so that I can look at the subject matter a bit more in depth ( hopefully... well if my shifts are not too busy)

Hey Apple muncher hope all is well with you ?

on the note of getting started again, my son who has taken an interest in nutrition has been looking at fish, now I cant eat fish( I really wish I could) but he has discovered that buying fish in bulk ( in order to try and make a saving) is very hard to do in the UK, the smallest order he has found is to buy 10kg at a time, he did see some herring 4kg but he missed that one, but when he contacts warehouses fishing unions etc they are very loathed to dealing with an individual and also tend to deal in high quantities,

Now this bit of information doesnt help me as I cant eat fish but it may help other people, if this is something that any of you may think about doing maybe consider forming a kinda fish co-op do your research and see what the best deal is in your area, son learned a lot about fishing and fish today lol

Also looking Paleo etc you want to concentrate on Salmon and Herring for the Omega 3 and lower mercury levels

I think I need to find a local organic farmer for the same type thing, also a local veg supplier and take it from there

    Will do beanie thanks

so today I have started looking at suppliers of food, I've also made some nut balls to help with energy levels and sugar cravings, I couldn't even begun to try and price that as it was nuts and things I had in the cupboard, I managed to make 16 balls and will try and freeze them and have 1 per day or so, I'm night shift this week so at my 2am slump I think I will be glad they are there, otherwise I will be grabbing for the chocolate

well first night shift of 3 done, I ate more nut balls than planned ... they are just too tasty

tonight's dinner is planned around chicken, g9nna have to make it shortly so it will be a chicken with spices mix on a bed of cauliflower ... then will have a couple of eggs and 1 ( only 1) nut bar for work, have also had a bullet proof coffee ... think I will need to re-do my price list of the coffee as butter has became very expensive.

last night I looked up some vegetarian dishes, I'm thinking 2 days per week initially of vegetarian night time meals to begin with and maybe upping to 3 as o think I need to keep a wee eye on my red meat consumption ... which will also help with the price

tonight's dinner consists of a recipe I have just made up .... not sure how it will taste though

I put onions garlic shiitake mushrooms on to fry in coconut oil, added slivered almonds a cooked for 5 mins ... the added boneless chicken thighs ( salted and peppered) to lightly fry, before adding, smoked paprika, paprika, cayenne pepper chilli powder, chipitole powder, tomato paste, two tins of tomatoes, coconut amino's and will add some home made salsa to it to try and get the veg in and wee bit if chorizo cause well I still have some left, I'm hoping this will be able to be portioned to 6 meals ... at least 4 anyway ... so that's a positive :)

I'm gonna have it on a bed of cauliflower rice ...

not too sure how it will taste and just now couldn't really hazard a guess at price, I'm gonna be working on that for when the wages come in next Friday
