Finally updated March thread with final totals:

£9.97 - Pets at Home, bedding for the hamsters which was needed before we went away for Easter as friends were looking after them, otherwise I would have pushed that sped into April!

£54.40 - Sainsburys, £9 off a £60 shop and mainly stocking up the cupboards

£16.15, small top up at Tesco to get a few things for 6 hour car trip and a couple of things that I prefer to buy there!

Bringing total to £616.90 for March, slightly over £600 budget but still within target for the year so I am happy with that !

Now to work on April spends to date bu heading out swimming with the kids first so will update later! :D

End of the week and £2.80 in credit, rejoice!
We ran out of things for dessert mid-week, so I made some scones. They looked great (glazed with yoghurt), but I had overdone the baking powder and they were not nice at all.
Everyone was disappointed, but there was no time to make more.
I was wondering what scones made with yeast might taste like, and saw there were recipes out there.
Still no time, so I've thrown a yeast 'scone' mix in the bread maker to see what happens.
Target £80 per week groceries, household and cleaning for four adults.

£34 spent at the market today; there'll be at least another £10 tomorrow or Sunday, depending on whether I manage to whiz down there tomorrow morning before haring off west for a family do. But fresh fruit, veg, nuts, seeds & cheese are all stocked up for the week now.

small spend of £1.58 on 2 packs of sweets at the garage so I had some change for the car park later. I need to sort some change out so I don't have to keep spending unneccessary money to get change.
What do you all do for car park change?

I throw all my change in a dish, when accumulated I bag it for bank, but there is about £20 in my ashtray in the car £s 50p 20p possibly a few 10p, so always change for parking and a quick car wash, if I think running down I use from my dish to top up.
