    im still no clearer lol

    Let's start with some basics.

How old are you / wife?

How do these SIPPs fit in to your overall position as regards pensions and savings?

Are you both working and contributing to employer schemes?

What are you planning to do with SIPPs in 10 years time?

These are relevant because a 30 year olds and a 60 year olds situations would be different so saying answering your question on funds is tricky at the moment.

I gave a like for like as I said it was 3 to 4 times what you can get via a DIY or IFA. So, I considered both channels.

You on the other hand gave an example of cheap DIY vs more expensive IFA. I was just balancing out.
I gave a range for HL. You arleady acknowledged that. I use them so I know their offerings. You want a range for IFA options? You provide it. I'm not familiar with them. You've just given one cherry picked example and conveniently not included the advice charge, which will be far more significant than the fund charge you quoted. So pretty useless to the OP.

We can't advise you on which funds to choose. See post #5, HL have some tools to help you choose, but be aware of the charges. The MM funds are quite expensive, personally I would invest in the underlying funds and keep an eye on them.
