A few days ago I posted on here stressing over previously applying for a credit and in the month(last month) before we went for a mortgage.
I've just checked my file now, to find 8 new credit searches on my file my broker must have done.
They are two for DIPs, as my broker thought they could get a better rate than the first one. Plus the additional ones appear to be searches for my previous addresses and maiden name. All appear to be the type that are visible to lenders i.e. Full hard searches
I'm feeling pretty stressed-this can't look good to the lenders we've decided to go with, right? Is this normal?

Not yet. I wanted to get an idea of it was normal before I mention it to them.
The searches are by NatWest, then by nationwide. Both of whom our broker got AIPs0 -
It is not unusual for two searches to show from the same Lender.
You will know why both Nationwide and Nat West have been approached.
I suspect you have nothing to be concerned about and a query to your Broker will put your mind at rest.I am a Mortgage Broker

There are 4 credit searches from NatWest and 4 from nationwide.
My concern is too many credit searches could stop us from getting a mortgage.
We are only a few days into our actual application.0 -
