Then is seems right that the mistake is corrected and her name is also added to the mortgage.
I'm really struggling to see how any of this is unfortunate or horrible. She owns half a house and every month her ex and new partner are effectively putting a bit of money her way.0 -

Yes, I cannot understand why the OP thinks this is a bad thing.
