I have recently sold my own home that leaves me with a small amount of equity, which I'd like to keep. I am being offered a lump sum from a family member of £35K towards a deposit. I have a fee of around £3.5K to pay in early exit fees with my existing provider. But I'm also interested in whether Help to buy would be a better option?
