Storing a sponge cake

I have just made a sponge cake for my friends wedding on Tuesday, how do I store it until then?

    If you haven't iced the cake you can pop the sponge in the freezer until you need it.

    Just realised the wedding is on Tuesday. If you have only just made it today then it will store fine in a cake tin or a plastic container. I always use plastic tupperware to store my sponge cakes in and they store fine. You only get moisture in the container if you leave in a warm place or put the cake in the container too soon after you have put melted chocolate on the top.

    Anyway, good on you for making a cake for your friend...well done!

    I finally got there in the end after many recipes given to me on here for a 10" tin!!

    Just got the fairy cakes to do now!!!
