Applying for a loan with an old address?

Hi guys,

So i have been looking for a loan lately and when i did a soft search with my new address i got a big no no and i guessed it was because i wasnt on the electoral roll.

So fast forward a few months, I am on the electoral roll and when i apply, I get bad eligibility chances. But if i use my old address, it get good elegibility chances?

I was wondering, if i used my old address, is there any negatives that would come of it?

IKANO Bank have gave me an offer based on my old address, but i still have to apply.

Let me know anyway.

Thanks,
Dazeh

It's all dependant on what's your credit file, I wouldn't even think of applying at your old address when your electoral roll for your current address.

It could start looking a little dodgy and end up with some CIFAS involvement.

Fraudulent application so a CIFAS fraud marker on your file is likely which will make life real fun as you'll struggle to even get a SIM only contract.

And unless you have access to your old address how are you supposed to get the documentation to sign and return? Is the person who now resides at your old address going to be happy to find you're using it to make loan applications?
