Car insurance confusion

Hi everyone,
I have just had a renewal quote from Admiral, but because I did a driver awareness course last year it has increased it to over £1100. I have had a quote from direct line and including green flag recovery it is less than £600.
Other quotes I have received without breakdown cover are about £900.
Is it possible to be this much less? There must be a catch.
I keep reading good and bad reviews for so many companies I'm confused.
Can anyone help?
Thanks :j

Yes the price difference can be more than that between lowest and highest priced policies
Admiral are currently one of very few companies who "don't like" clients who have a "course" in their history.
Most others don't ask if you have done any
So move on to a better deal elsewhere0 -
Direct Line are better than Admiral in my opinion.
As long as all the data you entered for the quote is correct, then just go with the best quote.
New business premiums are often discounted anyway, whereas Insurers quoting renewal premiums can take advantage of lazy customers who just renew. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
Thank you :beer:0

Aviva are the next best price - are they any better than direct line? I'm just put off with the reviews. I have previously had nightmares with Privilege so I'm a bit wary0
