Barclays Mortgage - port as moving house

Good evening,

We have sold our house and are going to port our mortgage from our current deal with Barclays (changing 2 years early) to a larger mortgage still with Barclays. Does anyone know whether we will still be charged and early repayment charge even if we are staying with them?

Regards,

If you are not borrow any less when you move you will not pay redemption penalties.

Your existing product will be transfered to the new property. That's in effect what porting is. Any additional borrowing will be a product from the current range.

You'll have 2 separate sub accounts (loans) for the mortgage.
