Hello we are still here, still Debt free. Managed to get a nice 3 month emergency fund saved and this month we start saving for our first hme. We are excited but know that realistically it will take us just under 2 years to get a good deposit. Feeling positive though xI am now debt free:T - 20/03/18. Hello, just thought I'd check in with myself on here. I am very proud to say that we are still debt free. We had an emergency with hubbys car that meant we used the fund leaving £400. So we are here building it back up along with house fund savings. Although we were gutted to have to use savings...I cant describe the reassurance we had from knowing we had the money we needed to get things sorted. I will never be without an emergency fund again!
We have a credit card that we spend on each month and the direct debit is set to pay it off in full each month. I usually pop one fuel and one food shop on there. We do this to help build our credit score up and show we are responsible lenders.
We have just got an American express rewards card and plan to use this to spend on for all our daily spends and get a reward sum each year. I am slightly nervous about doing this but aim to start using it within the next two months.
We are half way through the year and although we don't have the full EF amount we will get there and on track for saving for our home.
To all those that cant see an end to debts, keep going one step at a time xxI am now debt free:T - 20/03/18. Whatever your situation - just.keep.going!
