Bedford Trains Season Ticket Refund

East Midlands trains have announced their new timetable for May 2018 which removes all peak trains stopping at bedford and luton instead replacing them with a bus.
They've offered a 50% refund to season ticket holders who have to now use a connecting bus between wellingborough and bedford.
So, my question is for those who already have a season ticket from further afield, say Leicester to London, given that this ticket also allows travel to bedford so technically if a holder of that ticket travelled to bedford from leicester they would have to use the connecting bus are they too entitled to the refund?
