These get great reviews especially if you have had any recurring trouble with gingivitis, or staining of the teeth this toothbrush will keep them away!

BTW they are backed by dental practices. They are not just for sensitive teeth.

Are these the ones for sensitive teeth?
If so they work on sonic waves and if you are used to the normal ones you will think that they are not working. In effect this type do not vibrate.
May not suit everyone.

Don't know where you got this idea from!
Sonic toothbrushes vibrate. A lot.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
I've posted on this before, so will reproduce below:
I have mentioned in the past that sonic brushes are not as effective as the Oral B electric toothbrushes. This is based on my own observations, and that of my hygienists. When I went looking for evidence of this, I discovered there were a number of research papers comparing the 2 types of electric brushes, and the evidence was incontrovertably against Sonic brushes. I include a few links to (summaries of) these research papers below:

My advice is to go for the Oral B/Braun 7000 brush. Correct power level, good brush speed, no unecessary gimmicks, and £4/head or less. Roughly £42.50 full price, but offers often have it at half this price.
Obviously the usuability and effectiveness of a brush is very much down the individual using it, and so what I say will not apply to everyone, but the evidence is there for all to see...0 -

Here is the view of another:
This toothbrush literally does not do ANYTHING. I would have given no stars if it was possible. I charged it for hours and couldn't tell if it was on or off.
But please note that this refers to a cheaper model.

Yours wasn't working then.
We've got two of this model from when Amazon were doing them for about £35 last Christmas (price glitch!) and there was a redemption on for a £35 Philips free gift with each one.
No problems with them at all and (in our opinion) better than the Braun Oral-B brushes they replaced.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
If I want to get this for me and the OH, which replacement head to I need to get and can I get it from Amazon?0
-
You can get the heads from Argos, Amazon, Boots, eBay sellers etc etc
eg:
http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500000701&langId=-1&searchTerms=0543969&x=27&y=10
£20 for 2 heads maximum - can be got quite a bit cheaper if you shop around.
The head is the complete top part of the toothbrush.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
I've always used a a normal toothbrush , my fear is with these are they too aggressive?
Would they wear your tooth enamel away?
Are they just for people with yellow teeth?0 -

They are very gentle, have a soft brush.
lol they are not just for people with yellow teeth!
They are a very good quality toothbrush, google sonicare reviews for more info.I always wanted to be a procrastinator, never got round to it...0 -
You will find that the sonicare heads collect gunk under the screw on collar where it joins the body. You have to dismantle the brush heads to clean them properly to stop them doing this because otherwise the black gunk will stink to high heaven. The cost of the heads is ridiculous and I am now going back to Oral B.Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.
