Hi All
I am looking to get a mortgage and was just wondering if i have £150 total coming out a month for a new bed and new Sofa at 0% interest would it make any difference to my application if i paid the total off £1500 before applying? or would it be better to have £1500 more in the deposit?
Hope this makes sense
Thank you

There is no definitive answer, it will depend on you.
If affordability is tight then paying it off would be better. If your credit histor is chequered then it would probably be best keeping it held back.
But for the average person, it would just be personal preference.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
