Car Finance

I am looking for a new car and last week found one that was a possibility and enquired about it and was approved for finance last week with Evans Halshaw. They emailed me to say I had been approved and when did I want to collect, but I wasn’t 100% sure on the car and wanted to keep looking for another one, the same make, so with the same dealership, I was told that if I wanted another car this would been another credit check and could affect my acceptance. Is this the norm? To be checked per car even though the next car I saw could be from the same place?

You declined the offer so they'll be doing a fresh application if its not the same price which will be another credit check. DO NOT let them use that as a reason to force you to buy a car you don't want.

Maybe don!!!8217;t let them do a credit application until you have made a final decision on what car you want - To avoid unnecessary hard foot Prints on your credit file

the salesman may be able to change the car by speaking to the finance company without a new credit check,it can happen if they give a maximum lend etc.
it is normal to have to re credit check though because each car will have its own elements that affect the lending decission, age ,mileage etc etc
if you do it its done
