So, I decided to be MS and valet my car myself instead of paying somebody to do it. I used T-Cut on some cloths and, continuing with the MS theme, decided to wash them instead of slinging them away.
Small problem. The washing machine now STINKS to high heaven of chemicals. I have put it on 2 boil washes with loads of detergent, 2 rinses and it still smells. My other half tried to do a wash in it and the clothes smell.
How can I get rid of the smell. I'm hoping everything can be solved with white vinegar, lemons and bicarb of soda!

I've done that so often its not funny - I cant remember exactly how I did it last time - fairly sure it was bio powder & vinegar in the rinse bit but the main thing is to clean the filter & leave the door open to dry!I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0

A lot of machines have a little flip door under the drum, at the front. But I had a machine, the only way you could clear the filter was to take the whole back off the machine. Means if you get it clogged, you've got to get the engineer out. I was always lucky, the engineers knew it was a design flaw, and never charged me for it.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0 -

Update
We couldn't find the filter (nor the instructions telling us where the filter is), but thought to give it another go on a hot wash with a bit of Persil Non Bio liquid (what we always use) and some white vinegar.
Half an hour later we had a big puddle building in front of the washing machine. We mopped it up, let the machine carry on and watched as the puddle slowly built up. We've pulled the machine out and can't see where its leaking from!0 -
w hat make of wshing machine, somebody will know where the filter is. I had a hoover that didn't have a filter at the front. A few months ago I used some (obviously too much vanish) in the machine on a boil wash and I had soap suds foaming out of the door and drawers of the machine:eek:  . I think the boil was had made it extra foamy. I just switched the machine onto drain, spin cleared up the mess, switched off and ran away from it. The next day if was fine.0

Have you got the handbook?? It might tell you where the filter is. If the filter is blocked, it shouldn't leak, I think it just stops the machine from doing a decent spin.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0

TVT- Nope, we can't find the handbook!
Rev229- Its a Samsung. The leak definitely wasn't coming out of either the drawer or the door. We did check them thoroughly!0 -
