I am soooooo tired!
I just wanted to cry when I woke up this morning- not another day working!
So after working two very long shifts on the wards at the weekend I'm really ready for a rest.
But- hopefully -It will be worth it if I'll get paid on friday this week from the weekend shifts and the money is ok.
Didn't go to the party I was supposed to go to at weekend, people cancelled last minute, so I worked instead.
I really need to get a work life balance. How though?
My anxiety at not booking shifts and taking time off when I could be working and paying the debt off is horrid and goes through the roof, the only way I can see an end to it is by repaying everything

Went in to the banks today and closed my old accounts, oh and also paid off my mortgage :j
Just five thousand on my cc at 0 % now to get rid.
Had to open my savings tin to do it and I’m going to be pretty skint until payday in three weeks time but I’m sat here now on my bed trying to take in that I own my home.
Not that long since I nearly lost it due to my arrears.
It feels weird.
I feel I need to celebrate but I’m not sure what people do in this situation. Maybe have a chippy tea.get rid of all the pounds by summer !!

It is a weird situation. I kind of celebrated inside when I cleared mine! It doesn't seem like the sort of thing people openly celebrate, which when you think about the amount involved and the time it takes, it really should be a big celebration.
You have done amazingly well and I can understand why you feel you can't relax til all your debt is cleared, but do make a bit of time for fun/relaxation.What goes around comes around.....I hope!0 -
Thank you! Your right we dont celebrate what is a massive achievement really, when I eventually pay the rest off I’m taking my parents out for a really nice meal- they’ve helped me so much and still do. A big part of me wants to put a banner outside the house lol. Instead I got myself a two pound bunch of flowers :beer:get rid of all the pounds by summer !!

Great minds! It was £50 but done just that! :j
Off to work an extra shift today, worryingly there are hardly any extra shifts at the weekends anymore- I normally have a choice of wards to work on but not this month. I have a forced two days off tomorrow and Monday which is a good thing really but after getting used to all the extra payments I’ve been getting it’s a bit scary. Not that I’m spending anything on me as such it’s mainly been going against the debt.
Up at five this morning cat decided he wants feeding at that time. Hmmm. Thanks Byron, now I’m here and he’s back in bed.get rid of all the pounds by summer !!

Congratulations on becoming MF. I didn't celebrate either. Like you I didn't feel MF until I became DF as the debt was against my home.
You are doing great
