Fiction Short
• Films must be short fiction narratives of 15 minutes or less
• Films completed after 1st January 2017 are eligible
• Open to anyone who wishes to enter
Documentary Short
• Films must be factual based documentaries of 20 minutes or less
• Mockumentaries or other fiction based pieces are not accepted and should be submitted in the Fiction Short category
• Films completed after 1st January 2017 are eligible
• Open to anyone who wishes to enter
Promo & Advertising (including music videos)
• Promotional pieces can be submitted as stand-alone productions, or as a collection of short pieces, provided that all pieces are promotions for the same product
• All types of promotional pieces are acceptable (Advertising, Awareness Films, Music Videos etc.)
• The total length of each submission, whether stand alone or a collection must not exceed 10 minutes
• Films completed after 1st January 2017 are eligible
• Open to anyone who wishes to enter
Animated Short
• Films must be animated short films of 10 minutes or less
• To qualify as an animated short, at least 90% of the final film must be animated content
• Experimental or non-narrative pieces are welcome
• Any form of animation (digital, stop-motion, hand drawn, 3D, 2D, etc) is accepted
• Animations completed after 1st January 2017 are eligible
• Open to anyone who wishes to enter
Home-Grown
• Films entered into the Home-Grown category should also be entered into one of the other four categories (Fiction Short, Documentary Short, Promo & Advertising, Animated Short)
• All rules of the category must be followed in order to be eligible for entry into the Home-Grown category
• The Home-Grown Category is open to anyone residing or studying within a 20-mile radius of Burton upon Trent
