Hi Just moved into a 1 bed rented flat with economy 7 heating - admittedly its freezing but I haven't been using that much electric - looked at the meter and it used £6.20 in the last 24 hours! The previous tennant had the electric with budget energy. Does anyone know the cheapest economy 7 deal for Northern Ireland/ with any switching discounts maybe? I'm here for 6 months.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Are you sure the immersion heater isn't on?0 -
There is nothing economic about Economy 7 heating and it's an expensive form of heating.
But given that 900ltrs has went up in price by approx £78 in 4 months it's starting to prove expensive to.0 -
Cheers - I've just been putting the immersion on for a shower/ bath but nothing excessive. I'm going to start getting up early and turning it on - instead I think.....bring on spring its freezing here!0

The economy part of Economy 7 comes from if you use electric through the night to heat storage heaters and hot water. Won't do you any good if you have normal electric heaters on throughout the day.0

Can you get a timer for your immersion heater? We had one in our old house and set it to come on for a few hours before we got up. The "boost" switch is expensive! We had our washing machine on a timer too.
Our 2 bed house with 2 people cost us £54pm on e7.0 -
