Hsbc soft search accurate? Experience?

Hi, I conducted a Hsbc soft search on a personal loan and they provided with me a quote at above the usual interest rate. Says this is subject to full search and affordability checks etc. Just wondering on people’s experiences with this. If you was ok with the soft check was you accepted or later declined? I really want to avoid getting declined and left with the full search on my history if possible. Thanks

Nobody can answer as it is unlikely anyone has your same set of circumstances, your only way is to apply, one search will not impact you in the grand scheme of the credit checking world.

HSBC are known for been quite picky, do you bank with them?

Try the MSE loan checker that also soft searches.

That might give you more of an idea on acceptance.

No I don’t bank with them.
I’m not looking to find out if I’ll be accepted on other experiences just trying to find out if the soft search is a good indicator or not?
Mse one the top one was tesco and only had 60% eligibility so don’t want to risk that just yet.
I know one search is ok but if they say no and then I have to try again with risk of them declining etc
