Paying loan off

Hello Martin, quick question I've got a car loan which defaulted due to losing job. It was with Barclays partner finance and they have given me a reduced settlement figure and I want to get it paid so it doesn't go back up to original figure. My question is can my family member pay the debt with her Barclays credit card as we plan to move that debt onto a 0% balance transfer. Can you pay debt with someone's else's credit card I know they are two separate companies but are part of Barclays group. So could you please give me info if this is possible thank you.

Martin is busy on his yacht at the moment, so he's asked me to reply.
It's unlikely that Barclays will accept a card payment, or treat it as a purchase if they do. You'll probably need to look for a money transfer card.0
