New printer ideas?

Hey I've just started university so I am poor at the moment! I need too get hold of a new printer as I don't have one at the moment and kind of need one urgently! Any ideas on what I can get? A relatively cheap printer without crazy prices for ink cartridges?
All help would be great!
Cheers Tom

I'd say avoid Lexmark as its vertually impossible to get non lexmark cartriges for it. Basiclly I'd probbly start by looking at the price of cartriges first then get a printer to match. Printers in staples can be v cheap now, got mone with built in scanner for 3o quid a while back, lexmark though so they are now getting their money back in cartrige costs.
Might be worth looking on frecycle or ebay as often people upgrade...0 -
Samsung's ML2010 laser printer is a good bet - around £40 and it'll print 1000 pages using the supplied toner.
Black only though, if that's not an issue it's great
Replacement toner is about £30 but good for 3000 pages. Far more economical than inkjet.0
