Hi all,
It's been a few years since I've been here and you'll see from my signature my past has been quite a journey!
Currently we are in the Middle East. Debt free with a pot growing of long term savings (something I thought I'd never be able to say!).
We are giving thoughts to coming back to the UK in the next year / 18 months and buying a place maybe a year after we return 2020 - 21... maybe.
What are your thoughts on the help to buy ISA / equity loan for a property of 300,000. What would be the best way to pay to build that deposit pot?
** Added note - I used to own a shared ownership property **
Thanks as always for your advice.

you may need to have some credit history in this country. I would advise engaging with a mortgage broker to look at your options"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Keep saving hard. You may struggle to obtain a mortgage until you've reestablished yourselves in the UK. A different world to the one you left I suspect.0 -
If you can put up a 25% deposit, most lenders would lend you without any problems. If not, you might struggle or will get a higher rate from the International banks or after 2 years of building history. I got one though am I not a UK citizen0
