Dropped out a mag or my paper. Watermark games I know its a 'bin it' but curious on chances of winning anything
There are 200 variations of a game card which I assume means 200 different symbols. There are 24 prizes on offer in total ,
1 prize for 2 matching symbols and 1 prize from 3 matching symbols.
My assumption is: I calculated 200 *24 =4,800 odds on getting a wining symbol and add to that getting a ticket with the correct amount of symbols on the ticket. 176 if my assumption is correct are left that produce NO prizes.
strange I have two winning tickets but £19 to phone for a claim number for each (£9.50) and you can't guarantee those tickets are winners even though they have corect amount of symbols.:j
So is my calculation crap or right or even near enough:rotfl:
Thank you

The long ongoing thread for this is here

Your assumption is incorrect - symbols are not distributed evenly and you would be unlucky not to get a "winning" card (they cannot make any money out of cards if they are not "winners") - If it's one of the cards that states how many of each prize is available then whichever prizes are available in the largest or almost unlimited quantities are the prizes nearly everyone has "won" and it will cost the promoter less than the price of the phone call to provide it.
