Final score : Mr and Mrs F 2 padlock 1 (after extra time). The variety of plants in your garden sounds amazing.Well done on resisting chocolate during your stressful day. I've discovered Cadbury's dark milk - oh my goodness it's nice.6

@foxgloves I think this may be the start of a line in edible structures! Gingerbread house, choc hob nob shed...what comes next?3

Thanks all of you, although @Humdinger1, I think a shed constructed from biscuits would not be a good idea for me. I'm seriously starting to worry about exactly how much of my summer gear I'm going to fit into!

Hello Daffodils,
A pleasant day today, which felt almost normal. Made a batch of bread rolls for the freezer, as I was making a pizza base anyway & enjoyed a long yakk with my sister via Skype. Garden efforts for the rest of the day. I went round with a stack of pots looking for self-sown freebies for filling the gaps in my big borders. Well worth doing: 12 foxgloves, 3 clumps of forget-me-nots & a bronze fennel so far. Also cut back, cleared & forked over the smallest flower bed behind my pondside bench. Felt quite motivated by how much better it looked, so finished clearing the big border I started at the beginning of last week before I was unwell. The level had sunk a little in the middle, probable compaction from all the rain, so I forked it over & topped it up with the compost from an old growbag. Mr F has promised to remove a lot of problem ivy for me at the weekend, which will be good as yanking ivy out hurts my hands. I want to keep some, as we have holly blue butterflies & it is one of their food plants, but it is in the wrong place, so at least 3/4 of it is coming out. I've also planted one of my new fancy primulas in the top of my old vintage chimney pot as the display of dead bird poo-bedecked pansies in there weren't 'sparking joy'. Well, the sun has dipped behind a bank of grey, so I shall hie me away indoors to the kitchen to think about healthy pizza toppings.
Be safe, m'dears.....was not happy to hear on the News yesterday that ours is now the worst region for Covid cases. I did wonder, when I heard that a test centre had appeared for local people who are not showing symptoms, & it seems all new cases in our town are now the variant from Kent. Booo to just all of that!

Lockdown brain-fug here, as had completely forgotten that today is my Big Budget Day (despite writing it in my diary). I only remembered when Mr F commented that his salary had landed. So I was a bit late getting started, but am now number-crunching..... just having a little skive off for lunch.
No nasty financial surprises popped up yet, hope that remains the case this afternoon.

I went shopping on a different day this week due to our road being closed yesterday and today due to road works. It has thrown me, I was saddened on waking to find out it wasn't Saturday. At least now I can look forward to it all over again 😆Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
