My squandering of money is even more embarrassing when there are hard working doctoral students like yourself out there, who are self-funding. I hope you are making headway with your debt and that your research is going well x
Believe me, not all my debt came from my doctorate as I had some savings to put towards it. I've been irresponsible with cards in my "yoof", but now I'm committed to "adulting" and getting all this sorted :rotfl:0 -

I wish you the very best of luck with it. Ahhh the folly of youth! I swear it is because of a lack of financial education at school. No-one taught me how to manage my money - not even my parents.Emergency Fund: £300.01/£1000 (30%) March NST: 2/18 NSDs

Great to hear that! Good luck with Baby Step 1. I thought I was the only person in the UK that watched Dave Ramsey. Setting aside his Republican politics and gun toting mania, he speaks some sense.Emergency Fund: £300.01/£1000 (30%) March NST: 2/18 NSDs

I have managed to get around the America-only thing. Go on the website and put in a fake American zip code. Just google a random address like Yale University of something. You get full access. Only works on desktop though.Emergency Fund: £300.01/£1000 (30%) March NST: 2/18 NSDs
