I recently applied for a loan with Hitachi Personal Finance. I was accepted and signed via e signature and told my loan was approved. A day later an email arrived and said

"Thank you for choosing Hitachi Personal Finance.
We need to speak to you regarding your recent loan application."

I had thought everything had been approved and was waiting on bank transfer to my bank account. Has anybody any experience of a similar situation with Hitachi?

    Ring them is my advice.

It could be something simple like they want to verify something but you won't know unless you phone and see what they want.
  • Thanks for feedback. I am assuming it is just a security check before loan completion. Will ring up tomorrow.

Have you made any other credit applications recently?
If so was your income that you entered on the applications similar?
  • Update:

The contact by phone request was just a security check to ensure all the details were correct.

    Thanks for all advice.

I think you should call to ask them all the steps, procedures before proceeding
The OP had already come back and given an update - did you miss that (will try not to be critical as its your first post :) )

Hitatchi PFL are usually automated, if something stops it going through, then they ask to contact. Usually its something minor preventing the automated process, but as the search would have already been done by this stage you have nothing to lose by phoning.
  • I am in a similar situation, emailed me and gave them a call, went through security today and told me they will contact me if they need anything.

Wanted to ask how long until they released the funds after that, and did they ask any further info?

    Thanks
