I'm pretty sure IP addresses have something to do with it. I've tried from my static IP with VirginMedia on my mac and Amazon fire and have the same issues. I then tried with a three broadband dongle that has a different IP every time you use it and have no issues at all.

My ipad and the main home computer all going through the same internet router are OK. Its just my laptop that has the issue.
Its so bad I havent been able to enter any captchas today. Its almost like something on the laptop is causing the issue. But what?0 -
I have emailed a few companies to let them know the google recaptcha they are using is causing a problem, not only for competition verification but also logging into some sites. Four are looking into the problem and today The Vegan Society emailed to let me know they have changed to a letter/number verification.
I have a template email set up so I am going to fire it off to other companies now, I am positive many do not realise the problem.
Well done The Vegan Society!0 -
Anyone else having issues again?
I've still not been able to use them on my mac but I could tether to my iphone and enter them ok, now that has the same issue as does my 3 dongle.
I can click on the images but it just shows a tick that then fades and another image appears. It doesn't matter how many times I try they just don't select properly and eventually I get the try again later message.
Does anyone have the same problem?
Would having a VPN solve the problem? (I don't know much about them! )

I still have problems and the only way I can get any success is by using an incognito window. Some even in incognito though fail to work despite me knowing I have selected every road, every car, every street sign. If I try in a normal window despite the captcha being correct and getting a tick, the page then always tells me "sorry captcha error" Seriously, who designs these? Who tests these?
They are honestly the biggest pain ever. Why websites need them when you have to sign in with a user name and password is beyond me. I sooooo wish they would go back to the two word ones.
Had to laugh at my non comper hubby the other day, he had to do one and the air was blue and the laptop was about to be chucked out of the window! Pffft one?? I have to do dozens per day and help ma boab on a Thursday and Friday with the Bauer comps and my area which has 30 entries available. :mad:The best things in life are free.....0 -
Daphne - the ones that fade require you to keep clicking till there are none of the required images left. Once there are no more pictures of cars etc. then you can submit

I'm having captcha problems today - I pass them and then when I click submit I get 'captcha error' come up. This isn't on one site but all that have had a captchaBack to comping after a couple of years overseasGood Luck Everyone0

I was having the same problem but seemed to rectify itself, however, today they are being a pain again! Incognito isn't working for me either, also tried FF. It's those street signs that are the worst for me.0

Sometimes - not always! - it helps if you either clear cache, history etc. or disconnect router for a few minutes, then re-connect.0
