Super Off Peak Day Travelcard

It's possible to buy online (eastmidlandstrains.co.uk, thetrainline.com) a super off peak day travel card leaving Market Harborough at 0914 on a weekday with reserved seats.
As the 0914 is usually a peak train I wouldn't expect a super off peak to be valid. Is the day travel card an exception or is there a glitch in the online booking system?
If I buy this ticket and reserve seats on the 0914 could I be penalised by an inspector?
