I worked as a Customer Support Advisor at Nationwide between 2013-16 and it was never an issue with me. At the time of applying, i was in debt by £20,000 and i had 4 county count judgements. I was on a debt agreement with most of them but there were a few who i was unable to pay. It was never an issue and i ended up getting the job without any trouble. They did a credit check and they didn't ask me anything extra about my credit history.

I don't think you will have an issue.
  • Yes providing you answer any questions asked of you at the appropriate time.

I do like NW as they only ask have you been made bankrupt in the last 3 years as opposed to the last 6 years on their job application I found!
  • It wont affect you really.

The main reason they ask is for internal fraud checks which they do on all employee's on a regular basis.
