Im a bit embarrased to ask but we have completed the remortgage using Enact. Barclays have paid off my Nationwide mortgage which nows stands at 65 quid. What now, will Barclays contact me to set up a direct debit for payments?
I have looked at the paperwork and cant see that i have set up a new direct debit to commence payments. Im happy that it all appears to be sorted but want to make sure the new mortgage payments to Barclays leave my account when both of our salaries are paid on the 26th of the month.
It all went very smoothly using Enact so i didnt feel particualy involved, have i missed something?
Thanks

You should have completed a direct debit mandate a part of the application process. Barclays will write to you and notify you of the first payment due along with the ongoing amount for subsequent months.
Did you nominate a date to make your monthly payment?0 -
I have looked at the Remortgage Questionnaire, the Completion Statement, the Redemption Statement and cant see where ive mentioned a preferred payment date or any notification of a payment date. I may have suggested one when completing the paperwork with the online mortgahe broker Trussle. I feel im missing something quite obvious.
Do payments usually carry on seemlessly after switching lender?
