Do I reeplace the mattress or buy a new bed?

Options
Mattress is getting a bit old, I wonder whether you can just buy a new mattress or whether you need to buy a complete new bed. It's a slumberland bed, but the material covering the drawers are a bit tatty. I wonder whether the base should be ok and just buy a new mattress, does anybody know how can I check? They are not cheap. Thanks

I had real back problems and had trouble sleeping a change in the mattress was amazing. There are so many deals out there. I bought mine from Argos and the £4.95 delivery was ideal.

i am expecting great things from the new bed that i have ordered. i ordered one of the memory foam mattress beds from argos last week when they were half price, about £500. Both me and my husband have been having bachache when we get up in the morning and i researched on the internet and went to different bed shops and they all recommended this type of bed. Can't wait for it to be delivered but still waiting-thats the only problem i find with argos.

I have a medical problem which means that I suffer from poor sleep and constantly ache.

I have spent a lot of money over the last few years buying different types of mattresses for a decent nights kip but to no avail until a few months ago.

I bought a mattress from ebay (link below) and it's the BEST mattress I've EVER had...I now sleep like a baby, ache much less and wake fully refreshed every day!

The cost is £250 (for a double) & it includes delivery. The mattress is really heavy but the guys that delivered it very kindly took it upstairs for me.

I have NO connection with the seller - apart from the fact that I bought one of his mattresses & am SO impressed...I have to let as many people know how much they're missing out on a brilliant nights sleep...and my health has improved too!

I would definitely change the mattress. We had a normal double bed, normal mattress, then OH moved in. 6' 3" and a real fidget, it was causing real problems, especially as we had no spare room for me to chuck him out into. :D

So we went to Dreams and got a pocket sprung one, obviously a bit more than a normal one, but my god, the difference! I don't feel a thing now when he is fidgeting all over the place and we both sleep so much better. :)

Yes keep having a dig at your competitors. I have no hesitation in recommending mattressonline who offer an excellent service to their customers.

Yet again you are being abusive personally. Most people know that I sell beds as I don't hide the fact.

I'm not having a dig at competitors, but there are a few people complaining about the company in question in another thread, but all you seem to be doing is promoting them.

This site is about saving money, and giving consumers good advice. If you look at a couple of my posts just last night you will see that I am 100% impartial in this forum. In one particular post someone was asking advice about a particular memory foam mattress. I then gave them my 'expert' opinion stating the good and the bad sides, but said that overall it was a good purchase for the money.

I can understand that you may be layal to a company who have provided good service, if they provided bad service to all their customers then they wouldn't exist any more. However when the thread in question opened at 8.31am 08/07/2007 it only too up until 4.03pm the same day for Mattressonline (newbie member) to reply..........I wonder who told them about the thread?

All Mattressonline need to do is to change their policies to be in line with distance trading laws and trading standards, and to publish their terms and conditions on their web site. Then I would have no problem with the company. But what I do have a problem with is companies who rip people off, and who give decent traders a bad name.
