Some of these sound really complicated...

I'd just stick to basics and give myself room to enjoy the day.

    Mains:

    - Sausages and burgers (allow two of each per person but invest in decent quality ones)

    - Vegi sausages and portobello mushrooms

    - Grated cheese and red/brown sauce for people to add as they prefer

    - pre sliced bread rolls

then on the side the make aheads:

    - Coleslaw and potato salad (I buy mine)

    - bagged salad

    - big bowl of oven roasted veg

    - a couple of baked potatoes (we have some friends who don't like bread) which can be foil wrapped and given a couple of minutes in the ashes to warm through

    - deserts limited to baked bananas, baked cinnamon apples, ice-cream, marshmallows. Bananas and apples can be made ahead and foil wrapped ready. People can self serve ice-cream and toast their own marshmallows

    - alcohol and soft drinks (just leave everything on a table with glasses and jugs of water. Most people bring a bottle)
Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Get a huge bin filled with water and ice, everything alcoholic goes in there, people help themselves.
Plan for a wet day just in case.
Keep the kids happy and everyone is happy. Giant Jenga, giant chequers, a trampoline etc.
Get too much food and too much alcohol. It doesn't get wasted!
