Toe nail fungus

i have been reading about using coconut oil and/or tea tree oil as a means of treating toe nail fungus and was wondering has anyone successfully treated themselves using the above or other alternative non-prescription methods?

If coconut oil is to be used any recommendations as to where to get it? Is it the same oil used for cooking or is there a specialist toe fungus variety?

As ever, your comments/suggestions will be most welcome.

Use vic the stuff for blocked noses. Put it on you nails at night put on a sock and after doing this for a week or so no more nail problems
  • fungus stop from zane hellas on amazon. Absolutely wonderful, I had dreaded fungus on both feet/toes, used this stuff for about 6 months + and always made sure to dry between toes, change socks every day etc. It has completely gone, both feet are fully healed and nails as good as new. I rate it 100%
  • enough I had a nail that was less than perfect shall we say and strangely enough the problem cleared up, on its own when I started swimming regularly

Tea tree oil from H&B, applied morning and night. Took a few months but worked.

A study found ozonized sunflower oil was more effective in treating toenail fungus than the prescription topical antifungal, ketoconazole (Xolegel). To treat toenail fungus with ozonized oil, work the oil into the affected toenail twice a day.
